Quests:
1. Investigate the Farm to the
north-east
Reward: For making peace between
Modoc + Slags 3500 XP
Mayor Jo at the trading post tells
you that knows where the G.E.C.K. is if you talk to him twice. In return
he asks you to take a look at the Ghost farm. You can make him cut off
his pinky finger to seal the deal but don't do that, your the good guy,
remember? (bad karma) Before you go talk to the tanner, Balthas. (Quest
2).
2. Jonny is missing, return him to
Balthas
He will ask you to look for his son
and maybe he'll send Laddie with you to aid you in your search. Jonny is
to be found in the Slag caves (Ghost farm) at midnight. He is in the northern
part. If you tell him that Balthas sent you he'll ask you to take him home.
3. Find a way to bring Jonny home
Reward: 2500 XP + Combat Leather Jacket
After you made peace between the Slags
and the people of Modoc, Vegeir (sounds like the computer from Star Trek
I, doesn't he?) will send him home with you.
4. Examine the dead bodies and find
out what happened to Karl
Reward: see 1 + 5

5. Deliver Slag message
Reward: Assault Rifle + Jonny (go to
Vegeir)
Just take Vegeir's message to Jo and
report back.
6. Cornelius has lost his Gold
watch. Find it.
7. Farrel wants you to find the Gold
watch, too.
Reward: 2000 XP
Go to Farrel (house SW of Rose's B&B)
as well as to Cornelius (Rose's Bed & Breakfast, Dialogue: "You need
some serious help old man") and get the mission to retrieve the watch from
both of the old men.
Then go to the restroom in this area.
You'll note that it is different from the toilets you encountered so far.
Open the door and climb down. You'll get a message about methane gas so
be careful from now on. Plant some TNT as depicted on the screenshot (3:00
minutes) and get the heck outta there. After the explosion Modoc will be
ankle-deep in ... well see for yourself. Anyway after the dust has settled
go on down again and look for the Molerat. Kill it take, the watch and
give it to Farrel.

8. Farrel has a problem with rodents
Reward: 300 XP
Farrel has trouble in his garden. It
is teeming with vermin! As a good boy-scout you volunteer to help. When
the time for action arrives, however, don't attack the rats since they
do radiation damage. Rather than committing yourself, let your buddies
do the dirty work. They are immune to radiation. (very realistic but useful
nonetheless) Your character will announce your victory once all the crucial
rats have been vanquished.
Miscellaneous:
- Bess, the brahmin with the broken
leg, needs help from a "doctor". She then follows you throughout Modoc
but she doesn't take up a party member slot and stays in Modoc. (200XP)
- Go to the Den and tell Karl to come
back (500 XP)
- Grisham, (lives in a house in the
S-E of the first section of town) who owns a sizeable number of Brahmin
has been having trouble with wild dogs lately. If you talk to him he'll
ask you to guard his Brahmin when you turn to leave. When guarding the
Brahmin attack each dog once so that they'll attack you and stop molesting
the moo-moos. (Reward: 250XP + 1000$ (-100$ for each lost Brahma)
- DON`T marry one of Grisham's children.
- The Lost and Found Box in Rose's
B&B (just right of the counter) is yours for the taking after you saved
Modoc. (and you have talked to Rose)
- if you stand beside a brahmin and
activate the push-command you can tip her over (not useful, but funny nonetheless)
- North of Modoc you'll run into a
trader (Wily) who might have an Alien Blaster for sale (or steal) (run
around till you find him)
